Microsoft continues to create surprises in the gaming market. It was claimed that the company, which laid off hundreds of people in the past weeks, will bring popular Xbox games such as Starfield and Gears of War to PlayStation 5. On top of these claims, Xbox aroused curiosity with the announcement that it will organize a new event.
Microsoft will talk about the future of Xbox next week
Following the layoffs at Microsoft Gaming and rumors about exclusive games coming to PlayStation, Xbox CEO Phil Spencer made a surprise announcement. He announced that Microsoft will make a major update in the gaming industry next week.
In a post on his personal account, CEO Spencer stated that they will be holding an event to “share more details about his vision for the future of Xbox”. While not much detail was given in the post, it caused Microsoft Gaming to be intrigued.
It’s also unclear how the surprise event will take place. It could take the form of a media briefing, a simple presentation or a series of press releases. But it’s certain to address some of the biggest questions facing Xbox right now.
Microsoft is expected to give more details about its studios, including Activision-Blizzard, which it bought for $69 billion. To date, it has not announced whether major titles like Call of Duty will come to Xbox Game Pass.
The event may also include details about Xbox games coming to PlayStation 5. Don’t forget to stay tuned for more details about next week’s update.
